I am delighted to reveal that I will be appearing at the Barnes Children’s Literature Festival 2018!

I will be taking part in this wonderful annual event with my fellow children’s authors, Paul Ian Cross and Sylva Fae, on Saturday 12 May. As part of the Free Programme, we will each be reading our debut picture book and answering questions from the audience, before revealing our amazing Story Generator! Intrigued? Well, why not come along and discover it for yourself!

Paul Ian Cross Sylva Fae Nick Jones

A big thanks to Paul Ian Cross for his successful pitch to the festival organisers. We are all really looking forward to sharing our books with the children and interacting them with our Story Generator. Paul is a London-based children’s author whose hilarious debut picture book, Praxx and the Ringing Robot, picked up a Purple Dragonfly Book Award in 2017.

Sylva Fae is a fellow Cheshire-based author who published her super-cute debut picture book, Rainbow Monsters, last year and followed it up soon after with the equally great Mindful Monsters. My own debut, Sarah’s Shadow, was published in December last year, and I look forward to sharing it with the children and parents at the event. Come along and join us in the Bookshop Marquee at 13:30.

Barnes Children's Literature Festival 2018 poster2018 will be Barnes Children’s Literature Festival’s fourth year and there are some big names there, none bigger than Judith Kerr who is celebrating 50 years of The Tiger Who Came to Tea! Also featuring this year are the amazingly talented Axel Scheffler, Jonny Duddle and Charlie Higson to name a few. It should be a fantastic event and we hope to see you there.
